Enda Kenny is an Irish-Born songwriter who has made his home in Melbourne, Australia since the late 1980's. His thoughtful, descriptive stories of his adoptive homeland have struck a chord with festival audiences all over Australia and are always memorable and spiced with plenty of humour. Proud to sing of where he lives rather than where he left, he continues to grow his international audience with recent trips to Germany, UK, NZ and Canada.
"On small stages to intimate audiences or large stages to festival audiences he always holds the crowd in the palm of his hand. Witty and intelligent songwriting and a brilliant night's entertainment" Eleanor McEvoy.
After a decade of juggling performance with a career in Public Housing, the release of Heart Tattoo allowed a return to full-time music in 2013 and Enda has toured with superb multi-instrumentalist Dave O'Neill since last year. Dave is a former Artistic Director of Australia's National Folk Festival and spent a decade on the road with Eric Bogle Band. From their very first appearance together at Newstead Live Festival it was clear that Kenny & O'Neill have a musical alliance that will continue to amaze and engage every audience they play to. Long time bassist Sandy Brady completes the line up when festival commitments allow.
"The finest Irish songwriter living overseas" Colum Sands
After a six week tour in the UK, Enda is back in Melbourne and looking forward to September and October festivals in NSW at Yass, Folk by the Sea in Kiama and Dorrigo Folk and Bluegrass Festival - all with Dave O'Neill. They are also at Healesville Folk Festival and Newstead Live as well as some solo shows around town. Check the gigs page for full details.
UK bookings through Oscars Music Agency. Enda is back in the UK for August and September in 2017 and Dave O'Neill is joining him for the last few weeks of the tour in Holland and UK.
